OUR MEMBERSHIPS

Rugby For Life® exists to lead social and economic change in our rugby clubs, which are the heart of communities, a place of mana and are inclusive of the whole whānau. The rugby community, are building the best future for the rangatahi and tamariki with life skills and capabilities for sustainable health and wellbeing, education and employment for now and into the future. Because together, we can achieve even greater things.

Aside from the satisfaction of giving and witnessing the program’s results firsthand, you will be a part of a growing dynamic network with access to exclusive money can’t buy events and opportunities including access to All Black tickets, corporate functions and golf days.

OUR ACHIEVEMENTS TO DATE

SUPPORT

Connected the community by creating stronger clubs and engaging a volunteer army. 252 events held in clubs in last 12 months.

Clear focus on longterm club sustainability.
8 RFL Coordinators
in 9 Rugby Clubs
plus another 10 to be added in 2023.

INCOME

$185k directly passed back to clubs. Created a community led self-funding environment to inspire a hand up not a hand out ethos.

PLAYERS

Increased club membership across the motu. Increasing support roles, volunteer army and community connection in the process.

COMMUNITY

Created in-house Union resources to focus community pathways and outcomes through
our clubs.

FUNDING

Created a community outreach network now utilised by government agencies and commercial entities as the go to model for community outreach.

TVNZ Marketing Award 2022 Win!

Rugby For Life® was honoured on a national stage, alongside New Zealand’s top businesses, at the TVNZ Marketing Awards for the amazing mahi and achievements of Take 2 For The Team. The award recognised the mahi in mobilising Taitokerau Northland communities, through rugby and other clubs, and helping educate and save lives.
The Rugby For Life Trustees and Colab Digital team accepted the Excellence for Not-For-Profit Marketing Strategy award at Spark Arena in Auckland, 14 September. Rugby For Life Chairperson Ajit Balasignham said of the win “ this is not for the mahi we have achieved, but for the wero of the mahi in front of us all”.

RFL UK London club dinner and talk from NZ Rugby Union Board Member and RFL Chair Ajit (plus special guests) for up to 40 people at Boiler and Company Cocktail Bar and Restaurant.

The Long Lunch

19th November

On game day meet at Boiler and Company Cocktail Bar and Restaurant for a long lunch and go to ALL BLACKS vs ENGLAND game.
